Manage Headers and Footers. Work with long documents and sections.
Headers, Footers and Sections in Word
- Creating Headers and Footers
- Adding page numbers
- Inserting page breaks
- Inserting section breaks
- Managing headers, footers and page numbering across section and page breaks
Headers and footers are useful for including material that you want to appear on every page of a document such as your name, the title of the document, or page numbers.
Insert a page break when you want to move to the beginning of the next page in your document. Using a page break will also ensure that the space between pages remains intact, whatever changes you make.
Section breaks are used to divide the document into sections. Once section breaks are inserted, you can format each section separately.
Table of Contents in Word
- Recap on Styles
- Generating a Table of Contents
- Editing a Table of Contents
- Formatting a Table of Contents
Styles allow you to easily apply consistent formatting to documents, as well as to quickly change existing formatting.
Using a table of contents in your document makes it easier for the reader to navigate. You can generate a table of contents in Word from the style headings used in your document.
Online training will be delivered via MS Teams. You will receive joining instructions before your selected session.
