Welcome to March
March has arrived, bringing with it the first signs of spring – longer days, lighter evenings. While the season is changing, we know that for many of you, the focus remains firmly on finalising QOF targets and closing out the financial year.
With the year-end push in full swing, news and updates may take a temporary backseat, but rest assured, we’ll continue to keep you informed on key developments, upcoming deadlines, and essential industry updates. As always, we’re here to support you through this busy period—so if you need any guidance or assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Wishing you a productive and successful end to the financial year!

IMPORTANT DEADLINE NHSmail – Set Account Secret
The user account secret is used by NHSmail and the IT Service Desk to verify your identity in certain scenarios. For example, if you need to contact the IT Service Desk to unlock your account or to reset your password on your behalf.
Important Note
NHSmail has changed their name to NHS.net Connect.
You will never be asked for the full user account secret, only individual characters from it. You should never share it with anyone as this will compromise the security of your NHSmail account.
If you have not set up your Account Secret by 31 March 2025, you will be asked to do so when you login into the NHS.net Portal. You will not be able to access portal services until you setup the Account Secret.
Please access the NHSmail - Set Account Secret guide for further help.

- Through the NHS App, patients can:
- Order repeat prescriptions
- Check their symptoms and access NHS 111 online
- View their medical records
- Manage Hospital Referrals
- Get health advice and more
Encouraging your patients to sign up now means they’ll have access to vital services when they need them most over the long weekend.
Spread the word and help your patients take control of their healthcare this Easter!
