SystmOne - CIS2 deployment now complete
Access to SystmOne has been modernised and CIS2 authentication is now enabled across all sites and users. Users will see a new "Login with my Care Identity" button above the traditional "Log on with NHS Smart Card" option. This new button launches a secure CIS2 authentication flow in a browser tab and once verified, users are seamlessly logged into SystmOne as normal. You should ensure that everyone has tested the process of using the “login with my Care Identity” button before the old button is removed. TPP will provide further information about the removal of the “Log on with NHS Smart Card” button at a later date.
SystmOne Recent updates
- It is now possible to use a mix of local and group-wide pathology auto-review rules, simply select which rules you wish to activate.
- The sender and recipient details of documents in Communications & Letters node can now be amended even if the letter has been saved as final.
- New organisational preference under Scanning > OCR Processing to choose whether to limit OCR document processing to only pick up suggestions linked to your organisation's address book rather than all your address book entries.
- A patient's phone number will be marked as ended by another organisation if they record a new phone number of the same type. If this is the patient's preferred phone number this will be highlighted as ended in the demographics box.
New SystmOne Visualisations Now Available
TPP has recently released five new visualisations within SystmOne, designed to enhance clinical workflows by presenting key patient information in a clear, real-time format. These visualisations are now available for use and include:
- Respiratory LTC
- Cardiovascular LTC
- Metabolic LTC
- Care Co-ordination
- Clinical Care Co-ordination
Each visualisation provides a consolidated view of relevant patient data on a single screen, helping clinicians make informed decisions quickly and efficiently.
If the standard visualisations don’t fully meet your needs, you can copy and customise them to suit your specific requirements. They can be added to the clinical tree, toolbar, or launched directly from the patient record, offering flexibility in how you integrate them into your workflow.

- Ensure IT systems support read-only access to patient records via GP Connect
- Work with IT suppliers to activate and maintain this functionality
To support practices we've produced a step-by-step guides for Emis Web and SystmOne to help check and amend settings to ensure compliance.

NHS App Training
Our ever popular NHS App Training is available to book on the following dates. This course helps you to know more about the NHS App (and how it links with your clinical system) so that you can better assist your patients. Click to book:
New NHS App Replacement Tool Simplifies Account Recovery
Launched in July 2025, the NHS App replacement tool is making it easier for users to regain access to their accounts when their registered email address is no longer in use.
Accessible via NHS login, the tool guides users through a secure verification process: confirming a new email and phone number, providing key details such as NHS number, date of birth and postcode, and completing eligibility checks. If approved, users can seamlessly replace their old account without contacting the service desk—reducing support demand and delivering a smoother, more convenient experience.
For more information see Account Replacement guidance for users
Track Prescriptions on NHS App
Millions of patients can now check the status of their prescriptions in real time, thanks to a new feature in the NHS App. The service, already live in nearly 1,500 pharmacies – including every Boots in England – provides “Amazon-style” updates to reduce unnecessary calls and visits. Over the next year, the feature will expand to around 5,000 more pharmacies, covering 60% of those in England.
