The Track Changes function in Word allows you to keep a record of amendments made to a document. You can then choose to accept or reject the amendments. It is a useful tool for managing changes made by several reviewers to the same document.
The comment function in Microsoft Word is a very useful tool. You can use it to leave comments for a proof reader before getting it checked, and you might receive feedback in comments if you are having your work edited. You can also use it to make notes while redrafting a document.
You can protect a document by using a password to help prevent unauthorized access. Select the Restrict Editing option if you are happy for users to view the document but want to protect it from being modified. Apply the Read only option as a recommendation.
