The Appointments screen can be used to view patient appointments, using pre-made slot types and sessions.

Please note that currently, Appointment sessions and slots types can only be created in EMIS Web.

Access Appointments

To access a patient's appointments: 

With a patient selected, select Appointments from the Patient Record menu.

The Appointments screen will be displayed.

The patient appointment screen shows all appointments for the selected patient, including upcoming and past appointments. 

Use the Refresh button to view any new appointments.

From the Appointment screen, you can view:

• Any upcoming and past appointments
• Appointment details
• The appointment status, such as Arrived, Late or Did not attend.

• any allergies or warnings for the selected patient

Patient Warnings with a 'Book Appointment' or 'Arrive Patient' trigger on them are managed through EMIS Web.

You can exclude cancelled appointments from the list using the Exclude cancelled option - if you untick this option, you will see cancelled appointments with a cancelled tag applied to them.

Please note, if you need to update the patient demographics, this must be done in EMIS Web.
