Newsletter NHS Managing Your Email (300 X 300 Px)

Guidance on NHSNoReply

The NHS, the world’s largest publicly funded health service, sends millions of patient messages daily. Currently, several variations of the NHSNoReply SMS sender ID are in use (e.g., nhsnoreply, NHS NOREPLY, NHS-NoReply), causing confusion for patients and raising cyber security risks.

To address this, the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is updating its guidance to standardize SMS sender IDs across the NHS. From 5 November, all NHS providers must use the single SMS sender ID ‘NHSNoReply,’ with all other variations being blocked.

For further details, visit the NCSC website or contact the Telecoms team for workshop information.

For more information, please visit the NCSC website, or contact the Telecoms team to request a workshop if required.

Unsupported 3rd Party Solutions

With GP IT playing a key role in supporting primary care, the range of third-party solutions available is vast. Many of these integrate with your clinical systems, but before making a purchase, it’s essential to ensure they are both supported and approved by your clinical suppliers.
