November 2024
Welcome to November
November means we are nearing the home stretch of 2024. It's a month that carries a unique energy—both reflective and forward-looking and with Christmas just around the corner, it's the perfect time to start preparing ready for the extra bank holidays.
As the days grow shorter, there's also an opportunity to slow down, reflect on the year so far, and recalibrate. What have we learned? How can we make the most of the time that remains before we usher in a new year full of fresh possibilities?
In this month's edition, we’ll explore ways to embrace the season, prepare for & make the most of the extra time off, and start thinking about how to finish 2024 strong.

SystmOne
Auto Re-Viewing
The auto reviewing tool has been developed to improve efficiency and effectiveness by automatically processing results that meet specific criteria, freeing clinicians to concentrate their efforts on more complex results. The functionality needs to be manually enabled for your practice by a System Administrator from Organisation Preferences > Pathology > Auto-Reviewing and selecting the ‘Use auto-review pathology rules’ checkbox. Once enabled specified users can configure the rule sets from a new screen called Pathology/Radiology Auto-Review Rules Engine which is located under Setup > Workflow in the main menu.
To get started please see the TPP user guides on their website - Auto-reviewing – TPP

Emis Web
Password Update
From Emis Web v9.26.3, Login passwords must be 16 characters minimum (up to 30 characters) and include a special character, uppercase and lowercase characters and numeric characters. This will come into effect the next time a user needs to update their password.
Keeping user manual login details up to date are an important part of Business Continuity Planning, so it is worthwhile getting staff to check and update their passwords periodically. Don't forget our Business Continuity Guide for more details.
