Attach the Monitor

Plug the cable from the docking station into the laptop or the cable from the monitor.

Using Multiple Monitors

When the cable has been plugged in, on the Desktop, right mouse click and select Display Settings from the menu options.

Scroll down the screen to Multiple Displays.  Select the option to Extend these displays. 

To adjust the primary monitor, click and drag the blue boxes to change the order.  You can drag open programs/windows between the two screens.
