Tabs, Indents and Bullets in Word

  • Setting tabs
  • Using the Ruler
  • Adjusting Indents
  • Add and format bullets and numbers

Indenting text adds structure to your document by allowing you to separate information. Whether you'd like to move a single line or an entire paragraph, you can use the tab selector and the horizontal ruler to set tabs and indents

A bullet is usually a black circle, but it can be any other symbol used to highlight items in a list. Use bullets to list items that do not have to be in any particular order. Numbers—or letters—are used when information must be in a certain order.

Templates in Word

  • Using the default templates
  • Creating a template
  • Editing templates

template is a document type that creates a copy of itself when you open it. For example, a business plan is a common document that is written in Word. Instead of creating the structure of the business plan from scratch, you can use a template with predefined page layout, fonts, margins, and styles.
